Our project “LAGHI D’ALBANIA – Promoting sustainable and responsible tourism models for the integrated development of communities” is proud to present “Tales from the Lake of the Legends,” a booklet that collects all the legends and stories related to Pogradec and its lake.
The booklet, designed by the young people of Pogradec, contains various legends, including:

The booklet is part of the activities promoted by our project “LAGHI D’ALBANIA,” funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by COSV and VIS Albania in partnership with the Albanian Network for Rural Development (ANRD), the Agricultural University of Tirana, A.I.T.R. – Italian Association for Responsible Tourism, Diesis Network, Kallipolis, and Studioazue, in collaboration with the ABC Foundation and the Partnership for Development (PfD) Foundation.
The project aims to promote innovative models of sustainable and responsible tourism in areas linked to the two main lakes of Albania – Lake Pogradec/Ohrid and Lake Shkodra – and will provide concrete support to actors and people, structures, ideas, and innovative initiatives related to territorial and tourism development in the Pogradec area, with the goal of supporting the area’s economic growth.
