The project aims to increase and diversify the income opportunities for the rural communities living in the Salar region, and strengthening the community participation in the sustainable management of cultural heritage and social and natural resources throughout the promotion of a responsible tourism and the active involvement of the local population.
Results:
– the local community is more aware and has a better knowledge of its culture and has improved the capacity of interacting with tourists;
– the quality of handcraft production is improved in quality;
– new market opportunities have been set up.
