On April 13th, the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and the Kurdistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry/Iraq have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, confirming their commitment to cooperate to the development of enterprise activities in Middle-Eastern area.
This initiative takes place in the framework of “Fursa”, a project that aims at supporting a young Lebanese, Turkish, Iraqi and Syrian emerging network, to reach economic autonomy and to develop, among and in communities, more tolerant relations.
The signature of the Memorandum of April 13th, is not an isolated event: PROMOS has already met the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Zahle and Bekaa and, even before, the Chamber of Commerce Industry & Agriculture of Tripoli & North Lebanon.
COSV has taken part to each one of these meetings, as partner of Fursa project, realised with support of “Madad Fund” – together with Un Ponte Per and Nova – and coordinated by Search for common ground. Our organisation intends to encourage the partnership between cooperation world and profit sector, to give concrete support to communities and to ensure sustainability of development strategies.
The parties undertook to support local companies in the creation of new business and employment opportunities, for the benefit of Lebanese, Turkish, Iraqi and Syrian communities. With this aim in mind, project activities provided the born of start-ups, as well as the implementation of internships and trainings in matter of ICTs, Hospitality Services and Tourism, marketing and agro-food processing.
