TERRA MADRE SALONE DEL GUSTO 2024 – WE ARE NATURE
September 26-30, Turin, Parco Dora. An event to forge a new alliance between humans and nature, based on relationships rather than domination, by experiencing Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2024.
Organized by the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region, and Slow Food, the 15th edition of the most important international event dedicated to good, clean, and fair food for all, and to food policies, continues the journey towards building a new relationship with nature, within nature. We have always believed that food – which for us represents culture, sharing, and pleasure – is the most powerful element that brings us back to the earth, the soil, the water.
Slow Food in Albania will participate with a large delegation of 20 people to showcase Albanian biodiversity and national products.
COSV Albania, as part of the “Lakes of Albania” project, is pleased to be part of this delegation and to participate in this international event with over 30 traditional products from the Pogradec area, to proudly promote, preserve, and distribute the values of the products from this region.
The delegation will include three chefs from the Slow Food Cooks’ Alliance, two Slow Food Presidia, and many products already aboard the Slow Food Ark of Taste.
Visitors to the Slow Food Fair will have a unique opportunity to taste Albanian dishes prepared by three chefs from the Slow Food Cooks’ Alliance. They will be able to discover two Slow Food Presidia and many products already aboard the Slow Food Ark of Taste, both of which are projects that aim to save products at risk of extinction.
We are proud to be among the promoters of the Slow Food movement in Albania, supporting farmers, producers, food communities, and chefs who have embraced the Slow Food philosophy of “good, clean, and fair food.”
A special thanks to the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation – AICS Tirana – for the opportunity to participate in this event as part of the #LakesofAlbania project and for the continuous support to rural communities and Albanian producers through projects aimed at rural development and the promotion of sustainable tourism, training courses, and participation in various national and international events.
